    萧凡：臣以为，身体发肤，受之父母，不敢毁伤，孝之始也，立身行道，扬名于后世，以显父母，孝之终也，圣人之教以孝也，非家至而日见之也，教以孝，所以敬天下之为人父者，教以悌，所以敬天下之为人兄者也，教以臣，所以敬天下之为君者也，恺悌君子，民之父母，是也。

    陈牧：先生之言是也，寡人受教矣。

    萧凡：臣以为，木受绳则正，后从谏则圣。明王虚心纳谏以知得失，天下乃安，愿大王从谏如流，去食去兵，信不可去，愿大王守信勿失，有功必赏，有罪必罚，则为善者日进，为恶者日止，愿大王明赏罚，言行者，立身之基，愿大王三思而言，九虑而行，君王之过，如日月之食，人莫不知，愿大王慎之。
